Inside Sales Coordinator, Part-Time

Location: Boston
Start date: as soon as possible

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, sales-oriented and goal-driven person to join our Boston office and be part of the growing team of sustainability professionals at thinkstep. The primary function of this role is to follow-up with those potential sales leads generated through our marketing initiatives and determine which of our products and/or services may solve the sustainability-related challenges faced by these individuals.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Eagerly engage with prospects via telephone or electronic means and ask questions to understand the customer’s needs
  • Identify the thinkstep products and services of interest to the client and effectively communicate the business value of each
  • Manage the status of your customer engagements in CRM and HubSpot
  • Distribute qualified leads to appropriate sales team members
  • Create and implement processes for MQL follow up and then share with other regions / sales teams
  • Coordinate tactics, activities and materials with thinkstep’s marketing and sales teams to clearly convey our messages and expand thinkstep’s reach
  • Learn about our offerings from thinkstep team members across different regions and specialties
  • Provide prospect and customer feedback to thinkstep product managers to support our ongoing growth and development
  • Continuously strive to improve sales and marketing effectiveness and business acumen
  • Assist the field sales representatives in the planning and execution of sales activities as well as providing on-going sales support including sales calls, data analysis, customer opportunities, and sales rep follow-up

  • Strong analytical skills and reasoning abilities
  • History of successful internal and external relationship management
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Understanding of web-based technologies (blogs, search engines, social media channels)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Self-motivated and organized; able to simultaneously work on multiple assignments and to work both independently as well as on teams
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Proficiency with CRM and MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Ability to quickly learn new programs and systems
  • You must be proficient in English – knowledge of German considered a plus
  • A minimum of two years of inside or outside sales experience, ideally in the software technology and consulting space
  • A working knowledge of current corporate sustainability or EH&S issues, metrics, trends, and reporting frameworks would be an advantage
  • International experience would be a plus
