Regional Manager/Director for Nordics (m/f)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Availability: October 2017

The Opportunity
We are looking for an engaging and experienced manager to join our Nordic office in Copenhagen. As the regional manager for the Nordics you will be responsible for developing our business in the Nordic market. Our business is mainly focused on our in-house developed sustainability software (GaBi for life cycle assessments, SoFi for corporate sustainability management), development of environmental datasets for use in life cycle assessments, and providing consulting services within sustainability. You will get a high degree of freedom in shaping the market plan for the region, and you will need to be able to work independently to ensure that the region will reach its goals. You will also be responsible for the Nordic team, currently consisting of three consultants and one sales, hereunder ensuring a high motivation and utilization in the team. Finally, you will get the opportunity to work closely together with our highly experienced teams based in other regions in the world, mainly in our headquarter in Stuttgart, Germany.

Your Responsibilities
  • Overall responsible for thinkstep’s activities in the Nordic region
  • Proactively manage the performance in the Nordics (business forecasting, overall P&L responsibility) 
  • Pro-actively support in identifying new sales opportunities 
  • Engage with existing and potential clients to understand their challenges and translate these into potential solutions
  • Support/lead offer generation and collaborate with internal expects and support selling teams to close deals efficiently
  • Ensure effective collaboration between sales, pre-sales and other teams in thinkstep 
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of employees providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Prepare and implement business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Communicate and maintain trustful relationships with stakeholders such as business partners and authorities

Your Profile
  • 5 years of relevant working experience within sustainability and/or software industry
  • Experience with sustainability, preferably within life cycle assessments and corporate sustainability management/reporting
  • Proven work experience in Business Development, Sales and/or Account Manager
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to present and influence stakeholders on all levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and preferably also in a Nordic language
  • Experience delivering client-focused software and/or consulting solutions
  • Ability to effectively lead meetings and teams, influence and build consensus with other business units 
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Customer oriented and success focused
  • Flexible, including willingness and ability to travel
  • Independent and able to apply critical thinking
  • Accountable and passionate for sustainability
